The Future of Hybrid Event
Initiated by Nextech AR Solutions we facilitated a series of creative sessions for different internal teams and the “Hybrid Thought Leadership Council”. Nextech AR assembled an international team of event specialists from organizers, speakers to designers and innovators. Together we uncovered three major trends concluding in a vision for the future of Hybrid Events.
Workshop Facilitation + Design Thinking + Ideation
HTLC Workshop
Over the course of two days, we facilitated two 90-minute virtual sessions. Following a brief introduction, we immediately dived into identifying the opportunities, as well as the challenges stemming from the rapid transition to virtual and hybrid events brought about by Covid-19.
Subsequently, we took our insights from this initial phase to identify key themes and emerging trends. These served as the foundation for our brainstorming session on the second day, during which we generated ideas aimed as guidance for the future of virtual, physical, and hybrid event experiences.
Conclusion
Through the concepts of First Unconference, Next Journify and Always Humanize, event planners will be able to facilitate personal connections, increase traffic and leads, boost the customer experience in a virtual world and create value by providing a positive overall return on experience.
As Zoom fatigue persists, event planners and organizers need to be ready and able with the tools to provide an alternative that is grounded in the notion of a personalized experience.
Best practices include:
- Investing in a solid, expandable hybrid events platform
- Knowing your audience and planning collaborative activities before, during and after the event with a strong digital content strategy to draw attendees and gain insights into their needs
- Utilizing the event learnings to launch a post-event campaign based on learnings, releasing the event content with a fee structure or call to action for access
